The new design trend is here to stay - but not forever. Just like clothes - what was modern a few years ago or even last year, today is old and rusty. So now that everything is with gradients, 3d and glossy, sooner or later, will make the eyes of users and clients to get used to it. And then a few years later will come someone who will make something clean and in one or two colors - and then boom!! - a new trend. :-) This will be the new hype. One can never predict what the future will hold - so we should better define it than predict it. I can only hope that the huge cap toed shoes will never return :-) A lot has changed in design during the last 5-10 years. The new design trend is here to stay – but not forever.
